On Sunday night at Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois, the Springfield Thunderbirds took on the Chicago Wolves in game one of the AHL Calder Cup Finals. The Thunderbirds beat the Wolves 5-4 in overtime.

Hugh McGing (4), Matthew Peca (6), Tommy Cross (3), Brady Lyle (3), and Matthew Kessel (1) scored for Springfield, while Jack Drury (8), Richard Panik (3), David Gust (4), and Stefan Noesen (8) scored for Chicago. Charlie Lindgren made 33 saves for Springfield, and Alex Lyon made 30 saves for Chicago.

Game two of the Calder Cup Finals is tonight at 8 pm on AHL.TV.
