Pablo Marques scores a hat trick as Nor’easters winning streak reaches seven games

On Sunday night at Carey Stadium, the Ocean City Nor’easter (7-0-1) won their seventh consecutive game 5-2 over Real Central New Jersey (3-4-2) for their 100th all-time win at Carey Stadium. The Nor’easters remain in first place in the Mid-Atlantic Division and are two games ahead of West Chester United SC.

Nor’easters’ forward Pablo Marques scored a hat trick. Marques’ first goal came in the sixth minute off a corner kick by Benjamin Cam Orellena, and he headered the ball into the net for a 1-0 lead. Then, in the 20th minute, the Ocean City’s offense went on the attack with Daniel Diez-Bonilla making a cross-pass to Marco Torino, who shot it from the 20-yard line into the lower right corner of the net, and the Nor’easters led 2-0.

In the 42nd minute, Pablo Marques scored his second goal with a couple of nice moves with a Real Central New Jersey player on him, and he kicked the ball that went into the right corner of the net for the goal, and it was 3-0 Ocean City. Ocean City were in complete control and dominated possession.

Then, after a Real Central New Jersey turnover, Daniel Diaz-Bonilla scored in the 45th minute, putting the ball into the lower left corner for a 4-0 lead.

In the second half, Real Central New Jersey’s Conlan Paventi scored in the 52nd minute, cutting Ocean City’s lead 4-1. However, the Nor’easters would get the goal back in the 59th minute by Pablo Marques after a Nor’easters goal kick, and he sneaks it into the lower left corner that made it 5-1. In the 90th minute, Real Central New Jersey added another goal by Hale Lombard just before stoppage time, and Ocean City won the game 5-2.
