On Monday, the Saskatchewan Roughriders signed former Edmonton Elks linebacker Keishawn Bierria. The 26-year-old had 50 tackles, two sacks, and one interception for the Elks in 13 games last season.

The Carson, California, native played four seasons at Washington (2014-17) with 242 tackles, 19.5 tackles for losses, 7.5 sacks, four pass breakups, five forced fumbles, and fumble recoveries in 54 games. In 2016, he recovered a fumble on the opening kickoff and returned it for a touchdown against Idaho. Bierria is a two-time All-Pac-12 Second Team (2016, 2017).

Bierria was drafted in the sixth round (217th pick) by the Denver Broncos in the 2018 NFL Draft. However, he was released by the Broncos in October and was on the practice squad of the Jacksonville Jaguars and Arizona Cardinals.
