Nor’easters shut out West Chester United SC for their tenth win of the season

On Sunday night at Carey Stadium, the Ocean City Nor’easters had their final regular-season game at the “Beach House” against West Chester United SC.

This was the third meeting between these two teams, and the Nor’easters shut out West Chester United SC 2-0, sweeping them for the season while moving to 10-0-3 on the season, and West Chester United SC drops to 7-4-2. They also extend their unbeaten streak to 14 games

West Chester United SC controlled the ball early in the game. Then, the Nor’easters offense almost had a goal in the 20th minute when Nick Pariano curved a shot heading into the net, but Kent Dickey deflected it away from the net. The game was scoreless at halftime.

In the second half, Alessandro Arlotti found MD Myers within the penalty area, and Myers scored the goal from the lower-left corner in the 49th minute for a 1-0 lead. The Nor’easters dominated the second half as Galen Flynn found Myers in stoppage time with a nice cross pass to Myers, who scored another goal for a 2-0 lead in the 93rd minute. Not long after that, the final whistle blew, and the Nor’easters won the game 2-0.

The Nor’easters had 12 shots on goal, two yellow cards, and Felix Schafer earned his fifth clean sheet with six saves.
