On Tuesday, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats released running back Maleek Irons. The 26-year-old from Calgary, Alberta, played two games this year with one carry for three yards.

Irons play 24 games for the Ticats with 74 carries for 324 yards, one touchdown, and 18 catches for 116 yards. He also returned one kickoff for 12 yards. The Tiger-Cats drafted Irons in the third round (22nd pick) in the 2019 CFL Draft.

Maleek Irons played five seasons at Ohio (2014-18) with 254 carries for 1,468 yards, 17 touchdowns, 23 carries for 170 yards, and one touchdown in 29 games.
