Hamilton Tiger-Cats signs linebacker Jared Beeksma

On Monday, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed linebacker Jared Beeksma. The 24-year-old from Cambridge, Ontario, was released by the Saskatchewan Roughriders last Saturday. The Ticats drafted Beeksma in the fifth-round (46th pick) in the 2022 CFL Draft.

Beeksma was on the Ticats practice squad before getting promoted to the active roster and played one game for the Ticats back in Week 3 against Winnipeg before being released on July 10th and signed with Saskatchewan on July 21st. He did not play a game for the Roughriders.

He played four seasons at the University of Guelph (2017-19, 2021) with 77 tackles, three sacks, one fumble recovery, three interceptions, and six pass breakups in 39 games.
