On Wednesday, Philadelphia Stars quarterback K.J. Costello signed with the New Orleans Saints, as reported by WWLTV’s Nick Underhill.

After quarterback Case Cookus was injured with a fractured fibula, Costello played the rest of the USFL Championship game against Birmingham, going 5/9 completions for 65 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions in a 33-30 loss.
Before joining the Stars, Costello tried out for the Los Angeles Chargers in 2021 and was released during training camp.
