On Thursday, the Philadelphia Eagles signed North Texas running back DeAndre Torrey. He is the second Michigan Panthers player to sign with the Eagles.
The 23-year-old from Gautier, Mississippi, played one game for the Michigan Panthers in Week 10 against the Pittsburgh Maulers with two carries for three yards.
Torrey played four seasons in North Texas (2018-21) with 609 carries for 3,228 yards, 36 touchdowns, 57 catches for 436 yards, and four touchdowns in 44 games. In addition, Torrey has 51 kick returns for 1,159 yards, one touchdown, and one punt return for 16 yards.
In his senior season, Torrey had 248 carries for 1,215 yards, 13 touchdowns, 12 catches for 115 yards, and one touchdown in 12 games. He was named Second-Team All-CUSA.
