On Monday, the Ottawa Redblacks signed former University of Alberta linebacker Justice Momoka to the practice squad. The Redblacks also announced they released offensive lineman Jakub Szott and defensive back Treshaun Abrahams-Webster.
Justice Momoka is a 24-year-old from Edmonton, Alberta, played 20 games at the University of Alberta with 62 tackles, four forced fumbles, three sacks, one interception, and two pass breakups.
Jakub Szott is a 24-year-old from Toronto, Ontario, played 14 games for the Redblacks last season. The Redblacks drafted Szott in the fourth round (29th pick) in the 2020 CFL Draft from McMaster University.
Treshaun Abrahams-Webster is a 25-year-old from Ajax, Ontario, played 13 games for the Redblacks last year. The Redblacks drafted Webster in the fifth round (38th pick) in the 2020 CFL Draft from Calgary.
Webster played five seasons at Calgary with 76 tackles, one interception, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, 16 pass breakups, and one special teams block in 38 games.
