On Monday, the Philadelphia Eagles traded wide receiver J.J. Arcega-Whiteside to the Seattle Seahawks for defensive back Ugo Amadi.
J.J. Arcega-Whiteside is a 25-year-old from Inman, South Carolina, played three seasons with the Eagles. Philadelphia drafted Whiteside in the second round (57th pick) of the 2019 NFL Draft from Stanford and had 16 catches for 290 yards and one touchdown in 40 games with the Eagles. In three seasons at Stanford (2016-18), Whiteside had 135 catches for 2,219 yards and 28 touchdowns. He made the All-Pac-12 Second Team in 2018.
Ugo Amadi is a 25-year-old from Nashville, Tennessee, played three seasons with the Seahawks. Seattle drafted Amadi in the fourth round (132nd pick) in the 2019 NFL Draft from Oregon, and had 125 tackles, 12 pass breakups, one interception, and two forced fumbles in 47 games with the Seahawks.
Amadi played four seasons at Oregon (2015-18) with 165 tackles, three sacks, eight interceptions, 33 pass breakups, four forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries in 51 games. In addition, Amadi had 14 punt returns for 223 yards and one touchdown. He made the All-Pac-12 Second Team in 2018.
