Edmonton Elks signs former West Alabama wide receiver Christian Saulsberry

On Wednesday, the Edmonton Elks signed former West Alabama wide receiver Christian Saulsberry. The 24-year-old from Southaven, Mississippi, was with the Elks during training camp and had two catches for 18 yards and four carries for nine yards in two preseason games. In addition, Saulsberry had six kick returns for 172 yards.

Saulsberry spent two seasons at Itawamba Community College (2016-17) in Mississippi with 55 catches for 658 yards and two touchdowns. He was named to the MACJC First-Team All-State in 2017.

Then, Saulsberry transferred to West Alabama for two more seasons (2018-19) with 86 catches for 1,224 yards, seven touchdowns, and one carry for 26 yards in 23 games. In addition, Saulsberry had 52 kick returns for 1,452 yards, one touchdown, and two punt returns for five yards.
