On Friday, the Reading Royals signed former Toledo Walleye forward Devon Paliani for the upcoming 2022-23 season. The 25-year-old from LaSalle, Ontario, scored three goals and two assists (5 points) last season with Maine Mariners, Worcester Railers, and Toledo Walleye in 37 games.

Devon Paliani played two seasons in the OHL for the Sudbury Wolves, Saginaw Spirit, and Sarnia Sting, scoring 14 goals and 29 assists (43 points) in 129 games. In addition, he had an assist in eleven playoff games.

After the OHL, Paliani played for Ryerson University (USports) for five years with 34 goals and 38 assists (72 points) in 98 games. In addition, he scored four goals and five assists (9 points) in 20 playoff games.

Paliani joined the Maine Mariners for six games getting two assists, before being traded to Worcester and scored two goals in eight games. The Railers released him, and the Walleye picked him up. He played 13 games with a goal and two assists (3 points) for Toledo.
