On Monday, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms signed former Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins forward Jordy Bellerive to a one-year contract.
The 23-year-old from North Vancouver, British Columbia, had eight goals and 21 assists (29 points) last season with the Penguins. In addition, he had an assist in six playoff games for the Penguins last season. He signed with the Pittsburgh Penguins as a free agent in 2017.
Bellerive played four seasons for the Lethbridge Hurricanes (WHL) with 117 goals and 150 assists (267 points) in 274 games. In addition, Bellerive had 18 goals and 29 assists (47 points) in 45 playoff games. In 2018, Bellerive was selected to the WHL East Second All-Star Team.
He joined the Penguins late in the 2018-19 season, playing three games. Bellerive played four seasons in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton with 30 goals and 39 assists (69 points) in 157 games.
