On Saturday afternoon at Alumni Stadium, the Rutgers Scarlet Knight edged Boston College 22-21 for their first win of the season.

Rutgers quarterback Evan Simon was 8/12 for 63 yards, while backup quarterback Gavin Wimsatt was 5/9 for 47 yards and one interception. Running back Kyle Monangai had 19 carries for 78 yards, one touchdown, and two catches for four yards, while wide receiver Johnny Langan had two catches for 25 yards. The Scarlet Knights’ defense allowed 312 yards, 50 tackles, two interceptions, four sacks, and two pass breakups.

Boston College quarterback Phil Jurkovec was 23/41 for 283 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions. Running back Pat Garwo III had 14 carries for 25 yards, while wide receiver Zay Flowers had ten catches for 117 yards and two touchdowns. The Eagles’ defense allowed 322 yards, 60 tackles, three sacks, one interception, and one pass breakup.
