On Wednesday, the BC Lions released quarterback Kevin Thomson and offensive lineman James Moore.

Kevin Thomson, a 27-year-old from Auburn, Washington, appeared in one game for the Lions on August 26th, against the Saskatchewan Roughriders. He’s appeared in three games for the Lions in two seasons.

Thomson started his collegiate career at UNLV (2014-15), appearing in two games before transferring to Sacramento State (2017-19) with 441/770 completions for 6,424 yards, 52 touchdowns, 12 interceptions, 672 carries for 832 yards, and 21 touchdowns in 27 games. After Sacramento State, he transferred to Washington but did not play a game.

James Moore, a 26-year-old from Tacoma, Washington, did not play a game for the Lions. In 2021, Moore played for the Linemen in The Spring League. Collegiately, he played 42 games in five seasons at Central Washington (2014-18) at left tackle. Moore was named All-GNAC Second-Team in 2016 and All-GNAC First-Team in 2017.
