On Saturday, the NTT IndyCar Series held qualifying for the final race of the season at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in the Firestone Grand Prix of Monterey. The race airs on Sunday at 3 pm on NBC.
Will Power broke Mario Andretti’s all-time pole record of 67 poles for his 68th career pole. It was Power’s fourth pole of the season with a lap time of 1:11.6127 at 112.505 mph. Meanwhile, Callum Ilott had his best qualifying position starting second with a lap time of 1:11.6320 at 112.475 mph.
