On Monday, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed former Georgia wide receiver Terry Godwin. The 25-year-old from Hogansville, Georgia, attended training camp with the Tennessee Titans.
The Carolina Panthers drafted Godwin in the seventh round (237th pick) in the 2019 NFL Draft. In 2020, he signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars and played three games with three catches for 32 yards before reverting back to the practice squad.
Godwin played four seasons at Georgia (2015-18) with 133 catches for 1,788 yards, 11 touchdowns, and 11 carries for 61 yards. In addition, he had four punt returns for 58 yards on special teams. Godwin ended his collegiate career ranked 11th all-time in career receptions and 13th in career receiving yards.
