On Tuesday, the BC Lions signed former Duke wide receiver T.J. Rahming, former Fairmont State wide receiver Fabian Guerra, and former Kent State wide receiver Nykeim Johnson.
T.J. Rahming, a 25-year-old from Powder Springs, Georgia, played one game for the Lions in 2021 before returning to the practice squad. In 2019, he spent time on the Miami Dolphins and Washington Commanders (then Redskins) practice squad.
Rahming played four seasons at Duke University (2015-18) with 253 catches for 2,919 yards, 13 touchdowns, and 15 carries for 85 yards in 50 games. In addition, Rahming had 38 punt returns for 237 yards.
Fabian Guerra, a 27-year-old from Miami, Florida, signed with the Montreal Alouettes in 2020. However, he did not play a game when the season was canceled due to the pandemic. In 2018, he played for the Carolina Cobras (NAL) with 70 catches for 818 yards and 16 touchdowns, helping them win the NAL championship.
Then, he signed with the Columbus Destroyers (AFL) in 2019, making 61 catches for 765 yards, 15 touchdowns, eight carries for 20 yards, and two touchdowns on his way to being named Co-Rookie of the Year honors. In addition, Guerra played two games for the Memphis Express (AAF), with one catch for 11 yards.
Guerra played four seasons at Fairmont State (2013-16) with 232 catches for 2,797 yards and 19 touchdowns in 40 games. In addition, he had one kick return for 24 yards and three punt returns for 24 yards.
Nykeim Johnson, a 23-year-old from Washington, D.C., played four seasons at Syracuse University (2017-20) with 88 catches for 1,055 yards, eight touchdowns, and 15 carries for 105 yards in 46 games. In 2020, he earned Second Team All-ACC honors as a return specialist.
Then, in 2021, he transferred to Kent State, making 54 catches for 620 yards, three touchdowns, ten carries for 83 yards, and two touchdowns in 14 games. In addition, he had 16 kick returns for 346 yards and 12 punt returns for 66 yards.
