Calgary Stampeders release running back Aca’Cedric Ware

On Tuesday, the Calgary Stampeders released running back Aca’Cedric Ware from the practice squad for the second time. He never appeared in a game for the Stampeders.

Aca’Cedric Ware, a 25-year-old from DeSoto, Texas, was on the Stampeders practice squad for most of the 2021 season after playing for the Sea Lions (TSL) with 19 carries for 76 yards and two touchdowns. He signed with the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent in 2019 and spent time on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers practice squad in 2020.

Ware played four seasons at USC (2015-18) with 264 carries for 1,505 yards, ten touchdowns, and 19 catches for 126 yards in 46 games.
