On Tuesday, the Edmonton Elks signed former Western Kentucky wide receiver Lucky Jackson and released defensive lineman Nick Coe.
Lucky Jackson, a 25-year-old from Lexington, Kentucky, was with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers before being released on June 4th. Collegiately, Jackson played four seasons at Western Kentucky (2016-19) with 209 catches for 2,680 yards, 13 touchdowns, seven carries for 65 yards, and one touchdown in 51 games. In addition, he had one kick return for 20 yards. He is a two-time Conference USA Honorable Mention and First Team All-Conference USA in 2019.
Nick Coe, a 25-years-old from Asheboro, North Carolina, played two games for the Elks this year. He previously spent two seasons on the Saskatchewan Roughriders practice squad. In addition, Coe attended training camp for the Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots.
Collegiately, Coe played four seasons at Auburn (2016-19) with 71 tackles, 21 tackles for loss, nine sacks, one pass breakup, and two forced fumbles.
