On Thursday, the Reading Royals signed former Iowa Heartlanders defenseman Adrien Beraldo to a one-year contract for the 2022-23 season.
The 22-year-old from Stoney Creek, Ontario, scored four goals and 11 assists (15 points) in 49 games. In addition, he played six games for the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League.
Beraldo played four seasons in the OHL with the Peterborough Petes, Kingston Frontenacs, and Niagara IceDogs, scoring 16 goals and 31 assists (47 points) in 164 games.
His best season in the OHL came during the 2019-20 season with the Niagara IceDogs, with five goals and 18 assists (23 points) in 45 games.
