On Saturday afternoon at Jordan-Hare Stadium, the Penn State Nittany Lions routed the Auburn Tigers 41-12 for their third win of the season, while the Tigers are 2-1.
Penn State quarterback Sean Clifford went 14/19 for 178 yards, six carries for 15 yards, and one touchdown. Running back Nicholas Singleton had ten carries for 124 yards, and two touchdowns, while wide receiver Brenton Strange had six catches for 80 yards.
Penn State’s defense allowed 415 yards, 60 tackles, six sacks, three pass breakups, and one interception. Penn State plays Central Michigan next Saturday at 12 pm on BTN.
Auburn quarterback T.J. Finley was 11/19 for 152 yards and one interception, while backup quarterback Robby Ashford went 10/19 for 144 yards, one touchdown, and one interception.
Running back Tank Bigsby had nine carries for 39 yards, while wide receiver Shedrick Jackson had four catches for 76 yards. Auburn’s defense allowed 477 yards, 60 tackles, and three pass breakups. Auburn plays Missouri next Saturday at 12 pm on ESPN.
