Montreal Alouettes signs three players to the practice squad

On Monday, the Montreal Alouettes signed former Alcorn State quarterback Felix Harper, former Purdue linebacker Jaylan Alexander, and former Liberty linebacker Rashaad Harding.

Felix Harper, a 24-year-old from Fairburn, Georgia, attended the Cleveland Browns training camp earlier this year after going undrafted in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Harper played four seasons at Alcorn State (2017-19, 2021) with 417/685 completions for 5,619 yards, 55 touchdowns, 15 interceptions, 173 carries for 396 yards, and 12 touchdowns in 32 games. In 2019, he was named All-SWAC First Team, SWAC Offensive Player of the Year, and HBCU All-American.

Jaylan Alexander, a 22-year-old from Hoffman Estates, Illinois, attended minicamp for the Chicago Bears earlier this year. Alexander played four seasons at Purdue (2018-21) with 225 tackles, one sack, seven pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 37 games. He was an Honorable Mention All-Big Ten in 2020.

Rashaad Harding, a 23-year-old from Carencro, Louisiana, played three seasons at the University of Louisiana-Monroe (2017-19) with 132 tackles, 3.5 sacks, and three pass breakups in 31 games before transferring to Liberty (2021) with 80 tackles, three sacks, and pass breakup in 13 games.
