Temple quarterback E.J. Warner throws a touchdown in a 28-0 win over UMass

On Saturday afternoon at Lincoln Financial Field, the Temple Owls shut out the UMass Minutemen 28-0 for their second win of the season. The Owls are 2-2 this year.

Temple quarterback E.J. Warner was 11/22 for 173 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions. Running back Quincy Patterson had ten carries for 52 yards and one touchdown, while wide receiver Adonicas Sanders had four catches for 101 yards and one touchdown. Temple’s defense allowed 259 yards, 66 tackles, four sacks, five pass breakups, and two interceptions. Temple plays Memphis next Saturday at noon on ESPNU.

UMass quarterback Gino Campiotti was 7/14 for 36 yards, one interception, and 14 carries for 47 yards. Running back Ellis Merriweather had eight carries for 53 yards, while wide receiver Cameron Sullivan-Brown had five catches for 46 yards. UMass’s defense allowed 313 yards, 53 tackles, one sack, four pass breakups, and two interceptions. UMass plays Eastern Michigan next Saturday at 2 pm on ESPN+.
