On Sunday afternoon at FedEx Field, the Philadelphia Eagles won their third game in a row with a 24-8 victory over the Washington Commanders. The Eagles are 3-0, and the Commanders are 1-2.
Philadelphia quarterback Jalen Hurts was 22/35 for 340 yards, three touchdowns, and nine carries for 20 yards. Running back Miles Sanders had 15 carries for 46 yards, while wide receivers DeVonte Smith and A.J. Brown combined for 13 catches for 254 yards and two touchdowns.
Philadelphia’s defense allowed 240 yards, 67 tackles, nine sacks, and four pass breakups. The Eagles host the Jacksonville Jaguars next Sunday at 1 pm on CBS.
Washington quarterback Carson Wentz was 25/43 for 211 yards and three carries for 22 yards. Running back Antonio Gibson had 12 carries for 38 yards, and one touchdown, while wide receiver Terry McLaurin had six catches for 102 yards.
Washington’s defense allowed 400 yards, 70 tackles, three sacks, and seven pass breakups. The Commanders battle the Dallas Cowboys next Sunday at 1 pm on FOX.
