Highlights: IMSA Motul Petit Le Mans

DPi cars taking the green flag for the final time

On Saturday, the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship concluded the 2022 season at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta for ten hours of the Motul Petit Le Mans. It was the final time the DPi cars took to the track as LMDh and LMH cars will debut next year at Daytona.

In DPi, Meyer Shank Racing W/Curb-Agajanian Acura (Tom Blomqvist, Helio Castroneves, and Oliver Jarvis) won the race and the DPi championship. In LMP2, Tower Motorsport (Louis Deletraz, Rui Pinto de Andrade, and John Farano) won the race and the championship.

Meanwhile, in LMP3, Andretti Autosport (Gabby Chaves, John Andretti, and Josh Burdon) won the race, and CORE Autosport (Colin Braun, Kayvan Berlo, and Gar Robinson) won the LMP3 championship.

In GTD Pro, Vasser Sullivan (Jack Hawksworth, Ben Barnicoat, and Kyle Kirkwood) won the race, and Pfaff Motorsports (Matt Campbell, Mathieu Jaminet, and Felipe Nasr) won the GTD Pro championship.

Finally, in GTD, Gradient Racing (Mario Farnbacher, Kyffin Simpson, and Till Bechtolsheimer) won the race, and Heart of Racing (Maxime Martin, Ian James, Roman De Angelis) won the GTD championship.

IMSA returns in January with the Roar Before the Rolex 24 at Daytona International Speedway on January 20th-22nd.
