On Saturday afternoon at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium, the Temple Owls lost to the Memphis Tigers 24-3. The Owls are now 2-3, while the Tigers moved up to 4-1.
Temple quarterback E.J. Warner was 18/37 for 245 yards, three interceptions, and two carries for two yards. Running back Jakari Norwood had four carries for 18 yards, and wide receiver Jose Barbon had five catches for 134 yards.
Temple’s defense allowed 331 yards, 81 tackles, five sacks, and eight pass breakups. Temple plays UCF on Thursday, October 13th, at 7 pm on ESPN.
Memphis quarterback Seth Henigan was 24/45 for 195 yards, one touchdown, and 19 carries for 60 yards. Running back Asa Martin had three carries for 52 yards, while tight end Caden Prieskorn had three catches for 40 yards and one touchdown.
Memphis’s defense allowed 297 yards, 52 tackles, one sack, three interceptions, and four pass breakups. Memphis battles Houston next Friday at 7:30 pm on ESPN2.
