Philadelphia Stars bring back WR Devin Gray and sign DB Denzel Williams

On Wednesday, the Philadelphia Stars re-signed wide receiver Devin Gray and signed former Villanova defensive back Denzel Williams.

Devin Gray, a 27-year-old from Reno, Nevada, recently attended the Kansas City Chiefs training camp. The Stars drafted Gray in the 13th round (104th pick) in the USFL draft. Gray played nine games with 26 catches for 215 yards and two touchdowns.

In the North Division semifinals against New Jersey, Gray had four catches for 29 yards. In the USFL Championship game against the Birmingham Stallions had five catches for 46 yards and one touchdown.

Before joining the Stars, Gray was with the Baltimore Ravens in 2021. He played three preseason games with four catches for 46-yards. He signed with the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent in 2018 from Cincinnati. Gray also played for the Generals in the TSL in 2021.

Gray played 24 games in two seasons (2016-17) at Cincinnati with 86 catches for 1,304 yards and eight touchdowns. Devin Gray also had 13 punt returns for 110 yards.

Denzel Williams, a 24-year-old from Rocky Point, New York, recently attended the Baltimore Ravens training camp. Collegiately, Williams began at Sacred Heart (2016-19) with 35 tackles and six pass breakups in 26 games. Then, Williams transferred to Villanova (2020-21) with 28 tackles, two interceptions, seven pass breakups, and fumble recoveries in 15 games.
