Rutgers quarterback Noah Vedral runs his way into the endzone in a 14-13 loss to Nebraska

On Friday night at SHI Stadium, the Rutgers Scarlet Knights lost a close game, 14-13, against the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Rutgers are now 3-3 for the season and 0-3 in conference play. Meanwhile, Nebraska are 3-3 for the year and 2-1 in conference play.

Rutgers quarterback Evan Simon was 6/15 for 100 yards, with three interceptions, and quarterback Noah Vedral was 6/15 for 133 yards, seven carries for 27 yards, and one touchdown. Running back Samuel Brown V had 16 carries for 63 yards, while wide receiver Shameen Jones had two catches for 76 yards.

Rutgers’ defense allowed 304 yards, 68 tackles, one sack, four pass breakups, and two interceptions. The Scarlets Knights are off next week.

Nebraska quarterback Casey Thompson was 24/36 for 232 yards, two touchdowns, two interceptions, and two carries for three yards. Running back Anthony Grant had 19 carries for 47 yards, while wide receiver Trey Palmer had four catches for 64 yards and one touchdown.

Nebraska’s defense allowed 348 yards, 72 tackles, three sacks, three pass breakups, and three interceptions. Nebraska are at Purdue next Saturday at 6:30 pm on BTN.
