Former Phantoms forward Linus Sandin signs with Rögle BK

Linus Sandin scores a goal for Rögle BK

On Friday, former Lehigh Valley Phantoms forward Linus Sandin signed a three-year contract with Rögle BK (SHL) through the 2024-25 season.

The 26-year-old from Uppsala, Sweden, was released by the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday. Last season, Sandin had eight goals and 12 assists (20 points) in 36 games for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms and played one game for the Flyers.

Sandin played two seasons with the Phantoms (2020-21, 2021-22) with 14 goals and 16 assists (30 points) in 62 games.

This will be Sandin’s second stint with Rögle BK. He played two seasons from 2017-18 and 2018-19 with 19 goals and 11 assists (30 points) in 92 games. Then, he left Rögle BK for HV71 (2019-2020, 2020-21) with 23 goals and 23 assists (46 points) in 71 games.

In the 2014-15 season, he led the MODO Hockey J20 team in scoring with 24 goals and 23 assists (47 points) and was ranked sixth in the J20 SuperElit league.
