Reading Royals acquire forward Sam Sternschein from Jacksonville

On Monday, the Reading Royals acquired forward Sam Sternschein from the Jacksonville Icemen for future considerations. The 24-year-old from Syosset, New York, had four goals and four assists (8 points) in 11 games for Jacksonville last year. In addition, he finished his collegiate career at Boston College with three assists in 24 games.

Sternschein played three seasons in the USHL for the Tri-City Storm, Cedar Rapids RoughRiders, and Lincoln Stars with 27 goals and 20 assists (47 points) in 110 games.

Then, Sternschein played four seasons at Penn State (2017-2020) with 28 goals and 24 assists (52 points) in 112 games, including winning the Big Ten regular-season championship in 2020 before transferring to Boston College.
