Rutgers quarterback Noah Vedral throws a touchdown to Sean Ryan in a 24-17 win over Indiana

On Saturday afternoon at SHI Stadium, the Rutgers Scarlet Knights defeated the Indiana Hoosiers 24-17 for their fourth win of the season. Rutgers are now 4-3, 1-3 in conference play, while Indiana are 3-5, 1-4 in conference play.

Rutgers quarterback Noah Vedral was 12/24 for 113 yards, one touchdown, and three carries for nine yards. Running back Samuel Brown V had 28 carries for 101 yards and one touchdown, while wide receiver Sean Ryan had three catches for 59 yards and one touchdown.

Rutgers’ defense allowed 272 yards, with 49 tackles, one sack, six pass breakups, one interception, and one touchdown. Rutgers plays Minnesota next Saturday at 2:30 pm on Big Ten Network.

Indiana quarterback Connor Bazelak was 23/41 for 210 yards, one interception, four carries for one yard, and one touchdown. Running back Josh Henderson had four carries for 31 yards, while wide receiver Javon Swinton had three catches for 47 yards.

Indiana’s defense allowed 305 yards, with 82 tackles, four pass breakups, and one touchdown. Indiana plays Penn State in a couple of weeks on Saturday, November 5th. Time and channel to be determined.
