Temple cornerback Jordan Magee returns an interception for a touchdown against Tulsa

On Friday night at Lincoln Financial Field, the Temple Owls lost their fifth game of the season 27-16 against the Tulsa Golden Hurricanes. Temple are 2-5 and remains winless in conference play (0-3).

Temple quarterback E.J. Warner was 23-48 for 196 yards, one touchdown, one interception, and two carries for one yard. Running back Edward Saydee had 20 carries for 69 yards, while wide receiver Amad Anderson Jr. had eight catches for 112 yards and one touchdown.

Temple’s defense allowed 454 yards, with 71 tackles, seven sacks, one pass breakup, two interceptions, and one touchdown by Jordan Magee. Temple visits Navy next Saturday at 3:30 pm on CBS Sports Network.

Tulsa quarterback Davis Brin was 15/22 for 155 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions. Running back Deneric Prince had 20 carries for 231 yards, one touchdown, two catches for 29 yards, and one touchdown, while wide receiver JuanCarlos Santana had four catches for 44 yards.

Tulsa’s defense allowed 280 yards, with 60 tackles, seven pass breakups, and one interception. Tulsa plays SMU next Saturday at noon on either ESPN+ or ESPN2.
