On Wednesday, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed veteran defensive back Mike Daly. The 32-year-old from Kitchener, Ontario, played four games last year in Hamilton with eight tackles.

He currently is a defensive back and special teams assistant coach at Wilfred Laurier University. In addition, Daly is a contributor to the Ticats Audio Network, co-hosting Tiger-Cats Game Day alongside former teammate, Courtney Stephen.

Daly played seven seasons in Hamilton (2014-2019, 2021) with 150 tackles, one sack, eight interceptions, one touchdown, and two forced fumbles in 91 games. The Ticats drafted Daly in the sixth round (45th pick) in the 2013 CFL Draft.

Collegiately, Daly played five seasons at McMaster with 107 tackles, ten interceptions, and one sack in 38 games. He helped McMaster win two Yates Cup championships, and one Vanier Cup in 2011.
