Minnesota running back Mohamed Ibrahim scored three touchdowns against Rutgers

On Saturday afternoon at Huntington Bank Stadium, the Rutgers Scarlet Knights were shut out 31-0 by the Minnesota Golden Gophers for their fourth loss of the season.

Rutgers are now 4-4 on the season, and 1-4 in conference play, while Minnesota are now 5-3 for the season and 2-3 in conference play.

Rutgers quarterback Gavin Wimsatt was 6/17 for 68 yards, one interception, and four carries for nine yards. Running back Kyle Monangai had seven carries for 29 yards, while wide receiver Sean Ryan had four catches for 46 yards.

Rutgers’ defense allowed 375 yards, with 81 tackles, and two pass breakups. Rutgers plays Michigan next Saturday at 7:30 pm on Big Ten Network.

Minnesota quarterback Tanner Morgan was 14/21 for 122 yards, and three carries for 17 yards. Running back Mohamed Ibrahim had 36 carries for 159 yards, and three touchdowns, while wide receiver Daniel Jackson had six catches for 51 yards.

Minnesota’s defense allowed 134 yards, with 35 tackles, one sack, one pass breakup, and two interceptions. Minnesota plays Nebraska next Saturday.
