On Saturday afternoon at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, the Temple Owls lost their sixth game of the season in a 27-20 overtime loss to the Navy Midshipmen. The Owls are 2-5, and 0-4 in conference play, while Navy are 3-5, and 3-3 in conference play.
Temple quarterback E.J. Warner was 24/48 for 268 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. Running back Edward Saydee had 14 carries for 61 yards, while wide receiver Amad Anderson Jr. had eight catches for 114 yards, and one touchdown.
Temple’s defense allowed 224 yards, with 102 tackles, one touchdown, and one sack. Temple plays South Florida next Saturday at 2 pm on ESPN+.
Navy quarterback Tai Lavatai threw had one incomplete pass, and five carries for 12 yards. Running back Daba Fofana had 24 carries for 63 yards. Navy’s defense allowed 288 yards, with 72 tackles, four sacks, nine pass breakups, and one interception. Navy plays Cincinnati next Saturday at 4 pm on ESPNU.
