On Thursday, the Philadelphia Stars signed former Syracuse offensive lineman Airon Servais. The 25-year-old from Green Bay, Wisconsin, attended mini-camp for the New York Jets earlier this year.
Servais played six seasons for the Syracuse Orange (2016-21) playing 60 games, 25 games at center, three games at left tackle, two at right tackle, and made two tackles.
His 60-consecutive starts was the longest active streak in FBS history. He is a two-time All-ACC Academic Team honoree and All-ECAC First Team.
In his senior year, the Orange’s offense line paved the way for the fifth-highest rushing total in program history (2,562) and All-American running back Sean Tucker to break the program’s single-season rushing record.
Then, in his sophomore year, Servais was selected to the All-ECAC First Team after logging in 1,103 snaps in 13 starts, leading Syracuse with 36.5 knockdown blocks.
The offense were ranked 11th nationally in scoring (40.2 ppg) and set the program records for points (523), and rushing touchdowns (38).
In addition, Servais was credited with a career-high seven knockdowns in 84 snaps in the Camping World Bowl versus West Virginia as Syracuse won the game 34-18.
