Miles Sanders scores a touchdown in a 29-17 win over the Houston Texans

On Thursday night at NRG Stadium, the Philadelphia Eagles became the first team in franchise history to start the season 8-0 with a 29-17 win over the Houston Texans.

Philadelphia quarterback Jalen Hurts was 21/27 for 243 yards, two touchdowns, and nine carries for 23 yards. Running back Miles Sanders had 17 carries for 93 yards, and one touchdown, while tight end Dallas Goedert had eight catches for 100 yards and one touchdown.

Philadelphia’s defense allowed 303 yards, with 63 tackles, three sacks, three pass breakups, and two interceptions. Philadelphia plays the Washington Commanders next Monday night at 8:15 pm on ESPN.

Houston quarterback Davis Mills was 13/22 for 154 yards, two touchdowns, two interceptions, and three carries for 18 yards. Running back Dameon Pierce had 27 carries for 139 yards, while wide receiver Chris Moore had four catches for 43 yards, and one touchdown.

Houston’s defense allowed 360 yards, with 68 tackles, four sacks, and one pass breakup. The Texans are 1-6-1 and will play the New York Giants next Sunday at 1 pm on CBS.
