Temple running back Edward Saydee scores a touchdown in a blowout win over USF

On Saturday afternoon at Lincoln Financial Field, the Temple Owls snapped a four-game losing streak with a 56-28 win over the USF Bulls. It’s Temple’s first win in conference play, and Temple are now 3-6 for the season, 1-4 in conference play. Meanwhile, the Bulls have lost seven straight games, and are 1-8 for the season, and 0-5 in conference play.

Temple quarterback E.J. Warner was 27/36 for 344 yards, and two touchdowns. Running back Edward Saydee had 24 carries for 265 yards, and three touchdowns, while wide receiver Jose Barbon had eight catches for 103 yards and one touchdown.

Temple’s defense allowed 471 yards, with 73 tackles, one sack, three pass breakups, and one interception. Temple plays Houston next Saturday at 3 pm on ESPN+.

USF quarterback Katravis Marsh went 11/22 for 176 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. Running back Brian Battie had 19 carries for 129 yards, while wide receiver Xavier Weaver had six catches for 119 yards, and two touchdowns.

USF’s defense allowed 621 yards with 65 tackles. The Bulls play SMU next Saturday at noon on ESPNU.
