On Saturday evening at Lincoln Financial Field, the Temple Owls (3-8, 1-6 CONF) lost their second straight game 23-3 to the Cincinnati Bearcats (9-2, 6-1 CONF). On the other side, Cincinnati has won three straight games.
Temple quarterback E.J. Warner was 21/36 for 167 yards, two interceptions, and three carries for -14 yards. Running back Darvon Hubbard had seven carries for 30 yards, while tight end Jordan Smith had five catches for 40 yards, and kicker Camden Price made one field goal for 43 yards.
Temple’s defense allowed 388 yards, with 71 tackles, five sacks, and five pass breakups. Temple wraps up the season next Saturday against East Carolina at 1 pm on ESPN+.
Cincinnati quarterback Ben Bryant was 9/18 for 130 yards, and one touchdown, while quarterback Evan Prater was 12/17 for 127 yards, and nine carries for 24 yards. Running back Ryan Montgomery had 14 carries for 58 yards, and one touchdown, while wide receiver Tre Tucker had four catches for 78 yards and one touchdown.
Cincinnati’s defense allowed 202 yards, with 55 tackles, one sack, seven pass breakups, and two interceptions. The Bearcats close out the season next Saturday against Tulane at 12 pm.
