Nicholas Singleton returns a 100-yard kick return for a touchdown in a dominant win over Rutgers

On Saturday evening at SHI Stadium, the Penn State Nittany Lions (9-2, 6-2 CONF) won their third straight game with a 55-10 win over the Rutgers Scarlet Knights (4-7, 17 CONF). The Nittany Lions are now 31-2 against Rutgers, and it was the Scarlet Knights’ fourth straight loss.

Penn State quarterback Sean Clifford was 17/26 for 157 yards, one touchdown, seven carries for 35 yards, and one touchdown. Running back Kaytron Allen had 11 carries for 117 yards, and one touchdown, while wide receiver Mitchell Tinsley had five catches for 63 yards. Nicholas Singleton had one kick return for 100 yards, and one touchdown.

Penn State’s defense allowed 167 yards, with 66 tackles, four sacks, two pass breakups, one interception, and one touchdown. Penn State wraps up the regular season next Saturday against Michigan State.

Rutgers quarterback Gavin Wimsatt was 10/29 for 122 yards, one touchdown, one interception, and seven carries for -13 yards. Running back Rashad Rochelle had eight carries for 25 yards, while wide receiver Shameen Jones had two catches for 16 yards, and one touchdown.

Rutgers’ defense allowed 436 yards, with 70 tackles, two sacks, and six pass breakups. Rutgers closes out the season next Saturday in Maryland at 12 pm on BTN.
