On Tuesday, the Edmonton Elks signed wide receivers Raphael Leonard and Maurice Ffrench, linebacker Vincent DiLeo, and offensive lineman Brodarious Hamm.
Raphael Leonard, a 25-year-old from Starkville, Mississippi, played five games for Edmonton this year as a wide receiver and two games as a defensive back.
Collegiately, Leonard played two seasons at Southern Illinois (2017-18) with 91 catches for 1,377 yards and 12 touchdowns. In 2016, caught 23 passes for 360 yards and seven touchdowns at East Mississippi Community College and caught one pass for eight yards for Florida Atlantic in 2015.
Maurice Ffrench, a 23-year-old from New Brunswick, New Jersey, played four seasons at the University of Pittsburgh (2016-19) with 156 catches for 1,637 yards, ten touchdowns, 49 carries for 379 yards, four touchdowns, 27 kick returns for 652 yards, two touchdowns, and 28 punt returns for 164 yards in 46 games. He was named to the All-ACC third team in 2019.
He signed with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent in 2020, making the practice squad, and later signed with the Los Angeles Chargers in 2022, playing three games with one catch for three yards.
Vincent DiLeo, a 25-year-old from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, played four seasons at Delaware Valley University (2016-19) with 144 tackles, 16 sacks, 13 pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries in 48 games. He is a three-time All-MAC (Middle Atlantic Conference) selection. In addition, he was the recipient of the 2020 Frank Wolfgang Scholar-Athlete Award Founder’s Day Award.
Brodarious Hamm, a 25-year-old from Griffin, Georgia, was with the Michigan Panthers (USFL) this year. After going undrafted in 2022, Hamm attended the Baltimore Ravens minicamp. Collegiately, Hamm played five seasons at Auburn (2017-21) at right tackle. He was named the Ken Rice Award as the team’s outstanding lineman and blocker in 2021.
