On Friday, the Saskatchewan Roughriders announced they have re-signed linebacker Tommy Bringi to a one-year contract. The 22-year-old from London, Ontario, had seven tackles in 12 games in his first season with the Roughriders.

The Roughriders drafted Bringi in the fourth round (36th pick) in the 2022 CFL Draft. Collegiately, Bringi played three seasons at Wilfrid Laurier University (2018-19, 2021) with 118 tackles, five sacks, three interceptions, five pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries in 23 games. He was named OUA Men’s Football First Team All-Star in 2019.
