On Saturday afternoon at Lincoln Financial Field, the Temple Owls (3-9, 1-7 CONF) closed out the 2022 season with a 49-46 loss to East Carolina Pirates (7-5, 4-4 CONF).
Temple quarterback E.J. Warner was 45/63 for 527 yards, five touchdowns, and one interception. Running back Edward Saydee had 14 carries for 45 yards, and one touchdown, while wide receiver Jose Barbon had 13 catches for 160 yards. Temple’s defense allowed 534 yards, with 61 tackles, one sack, and six pass breakups.
East Carolina quarterback Holton Ahlers was 25/37 for 314 yards, three touchdowns, and four carries for -1 yard. Running back Keaton Mitchell had 27 carries for 222 yards, three touchdowns, two catches for 78 yards, and one touchdown, while wide receiver Isaiah Winstead had seven catches for 63 yards, and one touchdown.
East Carolina’s defense allowed 575 yards, with 77 tackles, eight pass breakups, one interception, and one touchdown.
