On Saturday evening at Beaver Stadium, the Penn State Nittany Lions (10-2, 7-2 CONF) ended the regular season with a 35-16 win over the Michigan State Spartans (5-7, 3-6 CONF).
Penn State quarterback Sean Clifford was 19/24 for 202 yards and four touchdowns. Running back Kaytron Allen had 21 carries for 82 yards, while tight end Theo Johnson had three catches for 62 yards, and one touchdown. Penn State’s defense allowed 254 yards, with 54 tackles, three sacks, one interception, and ten pass breakups. Penn State will play in a bowl game this year.
Michigan State quarterback Payton Thorne went 24/43 for 229 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. Running back Elijah Collins had ten carries for 33 yards, while tight end Maliq Carr had two catches for 21 yards and one touchdown. Michigan State’s defense allowed 410 yards, with 72 tackles and three sacks.
