On Wednesday, the Calgary Stampeders signed former Michigan State wide receiver Felton Davis III. The 25-year-old from Richmond, Virginia, attended the Stampeders training camp in 2022 and made two catches for 51 yards in two preseason games.

In 2019, Davis signed with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent. Collegiately, Davis played four seasons at Michigan State (2015-18) with 100 catches for 1,450 yards, 14 touchdowns, four carries for 80 yards, and one touchdown in 39 games.

In 2017, Davis was named to the Second-Team All-Big Ten by the media, third-team All-Big Ten by the coaches, and Second-Team All-Big Ten by Pro Football Focus and Phil Steele after making 55 catches for 776 yards, nine touchdowns, and one carry for 16 yards in 13 games.

In addition, he was named a recipient of the MSU Tommy Love Award (the most improved player on offense). He finished the Big Ten season ranked sixth in receiving yards (776), and tied for third in receiving touchdowns (9).

In his senior, Davis had 31 catches for 474 yards, four touchdowns two carries for 50 yards, and one touchdown in seven games before an Achilles injury ended his season. He was named honorable mention All-Big Ten by both coaches and media.
