On Thursday, the Edmonton Elks signed former Virginia defensive lineman Elliott Brown. The 24-year-old from Odenton, Maryland, finished sixth on the team with 42 tackles along with three sacks, and one pass breakup in 12 games, of which started five of them in his senior year.

Brown played five seasons for the Cavaliers (2017-21) with 61 tackles, five sacks, three pass breakups, and one interception in 53 games. In 2020, Brown played ten games with four tackles and one pass breakup. He was named to the 2021 ACC Academic Honor Roll.

In 2017, he made his collegiate debut against UConn. He had two tackles and half of a sack in ten games. In high school, Brown played wide receiver and linebacker. As a wide receiver, he caught 65 passes for 591 yards, six touchdowns, and two sacks on defense.

In addition to football, he played basketball and ran track. He was named All-Erickson and All-Founders league at Taft Junior High School.
