Saskatchewan Roughriders and DB Jordan Beaulieu agree to a contract extension

The Saskatchewan Roughriders and defensive back Jordan Beaulieu agreed to a one-year contract extension on Friday that runs through the 2023 season. The 29-year-old from Montreal, Quebec, had ten tackles in ten games for Saskatchewan this year.

The Edmonton Eskimos (now the Elks) drafted Beaulieu in the third round (24th pick) in the 2018 CFL Draft from Western Ontario. He played two seasons in Edmonton with 12 tackles in 30 games.

After the 2020 season was canceled, Beaulieu signed with the Ottawa Redblacks in 2021 playing five games. On July 5th, 2022, Beaulieu signed with the Roughriders.

Collegiately, Beaulieu played four seasons at Western Ontario (2014-17) with 103 tackles, three sacks, three interceptions, one touchdown, ten pass breakups, two forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, and one block on special teams in 42 games.

In 2014, he was named to the OUA All-Rookie team after making 26 tackles, two sacks, two interceptions, one touchdown, four pass breakups, and one fumble recovery in ten games.
