On Saturday night at the Santander Arena, the Reading Royals (11-5-1) extended their winning streak to four games with a 4-1 win over the Norfolk Admirals (2-17-1).
Fifteen minutes and seventeen seconds into the first period, Kamerin Nault (1) scored a power-play goal for a 1-0 lead with assists from Jacob Gaucher and Mason Millman.
Five minutes and fifty-eight seconds into the second period, the Royals took a 2-0 lead by Devon Paliani (2) with assists from Brendan Hoffmann and Colin Felix. Less than a minute later, Charlie Gerard (3) extended the Royals’ lead to 3-0 with assists from Shane Sellar and Mason Millman.
In the third period, Norfolk got on the board at 11:46 by Eric Williams (3) with assists from Brendan van Riemsdyk and Griffin Lunn. Finally, Dominic Cormier (2) put the game away with 18 seconds left on an empty net goal for a 4-1 lead. Shane Sellar and Charlie Gerard assisted his goal.
The Royals finished the night with 28 shots, 1/3 on the power play, and Nolan Maier made 28 saves. On the other side, the Admirals had 29 shots, 0/4 on the power play, and Michael Bullion made 24 saves.
