On Monday, the Philadelphia Flyers announced that forward Evan Barrett has been reassigned to the Reading Royals from the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. The 23-year-old from Bristol, Pennsylvania, has one assist in two games with the Phantoms this year.
Last year, Barratt played two games for the Blackhawks AHL affiliate Rockford Ice Hogs. Barratt played three seasons in Rockford with 19 goals and 23 assists (42 points) in 92 games. The Blackhawks drafted Barratt in the third round (90th pick) in the 2017 NHL Draft.
Barratt played college hockey at Penn State for three seasons (2017-20) with 39 goals and 56 assists (95 points) in 98 games, helping Penn State win the Big Ten Regular Season Championship.
In 2019, Barratt played for Team USA in the World Juniors, scoring a goal and five assists (6 points) in seven games, helping Team USA win the Silver Medal. In addition, he played for the USNTDP Juniors (USHL) for two seasons (2015-17) with 16 goals and 25 assists (41 points) in 61 games.
